Dat geel de kleur van komend seizoen is was al te zien in de mode. Maar ook in de badkamer is het helemaal trendy! Voor extra klasse is het mooi gecombineerd met de zebra en de zwart tinten. Zou je wat moderner willen, combineer het meubel dan alleen met strakke witte wanden en eventueel een heldere contrasterende kleur.

Bij het zien van deze foto’s bleef mijn oog direct kleven. Mooie spullen, strakke vloer, subtiel kleurgebruik. Allemaal ingrediënten waar je mij helemaal blij mee maakt. Maar toen ik nog eens beter keek, kwam het mij steeds meer over als een showroom. Ik miste een sfeer. Een verbinden element. En bij nader inzien vond ik het eigenlijk toch niet zo heel goed. Toch wilde ik deze beelden aan jullie laten zien. Om duidelijk te maken dat je alle ingrediënten in een kamer kan hebben, maar toch een bepaalde huiselijk mist. 
Het lijkt alsof alle afzonderlijke stukken rond zweven. Ze hebben geen plaats. Toch valt dit makkelijk op te lossen, door bijvoorbeeld op foto 1: het bankje wit te schilderen, de lampen een witte stof te geven en de aarde tinten terug te laten komen in de kussens van de stoelen. Ook op foto drie zou je meer eenheid krijgen door de wand achter de witte kast een stevige kleur te geven. bijvoorbeeld hetzelfde geel als de doeken aan de rechterwand. Op deze manier wordt alles meer bij elkaar getrokken en krijg je één geheel!

Seeing these photos they caught my eye immediately. Nice furniture, clean floors, subtle colors. All the ingredients that make's me happy. But when I looked better, it came to me increasingly like a showroom. I missed a setting. A connecting element. And after a second look I thought it was really not so very well. I still wanted to show you these images. To make clear that having all the ingredients in a room you still can miss a atmosphere with makes it a home.It seems like all the individual pieces floating around. They have no place. And it is yet so easy to solve. For example on the first picture: paint the bench white, give the lamps a white dust and let the earth tones come back into the cushions of the chairs. Also on pictures three you would get more unity by painting the wall behind the white cabinet a solid color. For example, the same yellow as the paintings on the right wall. This way everything is more pulled together and you get a whole!

Op de Noorse site Studio kwam ik deze schattige meisjes kamers tegen. Voor grote kamers maar ook zeker te realiseren in de wat kleinere. De omgebouwde inbouwkast vind ik ook echt geniaal. En goed gedaan ook door alles 'in' de kast een basis kleur, in dit geval blauw, te geven. Op deze manier maak je er één geheel van. En ja, aangevuld met wit en roze is het denk ik wel ieders meisjes (groot of klein) droom werkplekje!

On the Norwegian site Studio I came across this cute bedrooms for girls. For large rooms, but definitely also to realize for the smaller ones. The converted cupboard is really brilliant. And also well done by giving everything 'inside' the closet a base color, in this case blue. This way you make a whole of it. And yes, complemented with white and pink, I guess it is a girls (big or small) dream workplace!

Het komt maar al te vaak voor dat je van die hoekjes hebt waar je wat me wilt. Plus de nodige rondslingerende attributen van de kinderen. Hoe fijn zou het dan zijn om die twee te combineren tot iets moois? Een leuke, vrolijke, en niet al te dure, oplossing vond ik op de Zweedse site van Svengarden. Door het gebruik van de roze accessoires kom je ook nog helemaal in de lente sfeer!

It is not quit often that you find a solution with solves the problem of the accessories from your children and to make something nice of a hidden corner. How nice would it be to combine the two into something beautiful? A fun, happy, and not too expensive, solution I found on the Swedish site of Svengarden. By using the pink accessories, it brings you also in the spring mood!

Ik geef toe. Voor sommige misschien een beetje heftig. Maar kijk eens wat kleurvlakken kunnen doen met je inrichting! Een paar zwarte strepen en de kamer krijgt gelijk kracht. Een Blauw vlak en je hebt instant een hoofdbord. En waar ik heel vrolijk van wordt is het gele vlak, net, naast het raam. Hoe intrigerend is dat?! Ik moet ernaar blijven kijken...

I admit. For some it looks maybe a little heavy. But look what areas of color can do with your interior! A pair of black stripes and the room gets a lot of strength. A blue field and you have an headboard. And I was very happy with the yellow box, just next to the window. How intriguing is that?! I have to keep looking at it...

En nog gelukkiger wordt ik van dè kleur van 2012 namelijk: Tangerine Tango van Pantone. Hij is warm oranje en maakt je interieur instant hipper en vrolijker. Maar ook in de 'chiquere' interieurs misstaat deze knalkleur niet! Wat een heerlijke start!

And even more happy I get with the color of the year 2012: Tangerine Tango from Pantone. It is a warm orange and makes your interior instant more cheerful. But also in the more classic interiors it isn't misplaced! What a nice thing to start the year!
